ZAPOTE
This cenote owes its name to the Zapote trees that grow around it and it is known to divers as “Hells Bells”. Cenote ZAPOTE is located 27 km east of Puerto Morelos via “la Ruta de los Cenotes”.
Hells Bells is shaped like a giant hourglass. The descent from the neck (4m diameter) is up to 60ft (20m), you cross the center and exit in a large bell-shaped chamber.
In this lower chamber, you will reach a cloud of hydrogen sulphide at around 116ft (35 meters). Wandering fingers of dead branches and trees can be seen through this misty background.
At this depth, thousands of limestone bells adorn the walls of the cenote. We make our way through these limestone formations unique in the world in a mystical atmosphere, end of time.
Obviously, a prior deep cenote dive is required to enter the depths of this cenote.
Diving in Zapote is an unforgettable experience that will exceed all your expectations. Only for brave adventurers.

It is an authentic surreal painting where the light of the sun will guide you through its blue waters.
Towards the center of the Earth, penetrating the jungle of Quintana Roo, near Puerto Morelos, the Cenote of Maravilla has become an open secret for diving enthusiasts.
It is one of the few, of its kind, where real immersions can take place in a magical, unreal and even dark space. However, this place is reserved for experienced divers due to the depth and the atmosphere inside.
